I worked with a lady with dementia who was only 4' 10" tall.

When she had problems accessing our house vehicle I took her down the local Hendy garage at Chandlers Ford, Southampton who were dealers for Ford/KIA and Mazda.

The Carens was tops for access having plenty of foot room to access the rear doors and also a very low hight from floor to lifting foot over sill.

Most cars she had problems getting her foot high enough and little space between seat and front edge of door opening to get her feet in without trapping them.

It can be difficult to prompt someone to access a vehicle bottom first when their understanding is beginning to wain.

Just thought I'd pass this on.
