I would check all electrical connections at the fuel tank end especially the earth. There could be corrosion on the terminals and that would cause a poor reading. The sender unit could be faulty and needing replaced. I'm not sure if the sender is part of the immersed fuel pump on the Sedona but I'm sure someone will come along and correct me on this.
