You could always use a ‘Dongar’ adaptor which connects to the electrics in the rear view mirror shroud. This then hides pretty much all of the wiring to the camera. Pretty easy to fit, and many members here are using one, including myself.

You would think that by now manufacturers would provide a 12v feed up near the rear view mirror as a matter of course for fitting dashcams.

 

Or better still incorporate a front and rear dashcam, at least in the high trim levels. I know they are illegal in some countries, just like speed camera warnings, but this could be handled by software in the relevant countries.
