I have recently bought and EV3 want to fit a dash cam. I have one from earlier cars but would like to avoid fixing the power wire around the screen etc. Does anyone know please of a decent camera powered by its own battery? Thanks in advance.

You could always use a ‘Dongar’ adaptor which connects to the electrics in the rear view mirror shroud. This then hides pretty much all of the wiring to the camera. Pretty easy to fit, and many members here are using one, including myself.
Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter (10-pin Type H) for Hyundai/Kia. Compatible with Select Models, Ioniq 5, EV6, and More. Connects to Rearview Mirror, Built-in USB Power Source, Easy to Install: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

Here’s a link to the Dongar website where you can get more info.
If you do a search on YouTube there are plenty of videos showing how to fit one.
Or better still incorporate a front and rear dashcam, at least in the high trim levels. I know they are illegal in some countries, just like speed camera warnings, but this could be handled by software in the relevant countries.
