The answer to that is NO.

I have my dashcam hard wired via this fuse box, as do the above posters.
Kia does not turn the power off to many things straight away. It can be up to 5 mins before some power down.

I think all the fuse switch does is isolate all the wiring (guess it activates a relay in the main fuse box that cuts the live feed from the battery), so in case something is still on, such as dome light.
Agreed that most thing do power down after switch off, but that fuse panel will have live feeds, otherwise things like your key fobs wouldn't work.

ah ok, in that case the rear power outlet & interior lights should be hot at all times though
That's a good question which I don't know the answer to. You may have to plug something in and lock the car and see if it switches off.

Most dashcam manufacturers including Nextbase recommended using a 'piggyback' fuse on the rear wiper fuse and these are usually found in the cabin fuse box.
