Hi, Hoping that maybe Murphwiz can answer this one. Already own a 2003 1.8 petrol Carens SE, which I had converted to LPG years ago. Great car.............................................
Looking at buying another one for the wife, one of our local car sales has one going cheap, same year but lower spec, thats o.k., problem is some kind soul has over tightened the spark plugs in the cylinder head. The car sales have got one out and stripped the thread, the other 3 they have left alone.

Question is, will it be possible to fit 'helicoils, or inserts' into the plug hole without removing the head ?

As the car stands the sales just want rid, so I could get a bargain, but only if the damage is repairable.............................

Thanks for any comments/advice

Gasman.

Hi Murphwiz, Thanks for that, will go and see the sales fella on Tuesday, thats me £500 lighter, not bad for a 03 with 11 month MOT & 6 month tax. After plugs are sorted its off to the LPG man. Cheers Gasman
