Hi, I have a Sorento 2010.
When i push the cruise on button i look at the dashboard and nothing happens.
Any ideas i can check please?
Hi kevmet 1961, I take it that the cruise control has been working and now stopped, or is the car new to you?

In my handbook, the cruise control is pressed with engine running and held for 3 seconds, switch off engine and wait 7-8 seconds while the ECU resets, start the engine and drive and press the switch?....I find that sometimes I hold the switch in until the green 'cruise' light comes on and then release?....I also think that if you don't 'use' it regularly it needs the above steps to reset before it will work?

We have a similar age Sportage and the cruise button is very sensitive to the amount of time we press down on it for 'on',too long or too short a push and the green light does not come on.
When setting the actual cruise speed we need to be going along at a minimum speed (circa 30 mph ish) for it to work.

Hi All,
Happy new year.
I bought the car private but did not check the cruise control.
I have pressed enable button for more that 3 seconds and above 30 mph, still no green light on dash and not engaging.

Most common failure is the clock spring cable inside the steering wheel broken.
