Hi,

My 2017 KX-4 has developed a creaking sound when I turn the steering wheel say 20 degrees off straight ahead but only when at low speed (< 10 mph). Above that speed, nothing can be heard.

Might this be the problem referred to in this thread and is the TSB at post 50 the fix?

Many thanks

Angus

When I had this issue it was usually cold weather, under 10C and yes it was much more noticeable at low speed. I also found that as the engine warmed up the noise started to fade, only for it to return once the car cooled down. This was on my 2017 Sportage and it was fixed under warranty. I believe the notice you are referring to is what was applied to my car.

I has exactly those symptoms and that TSB sorted it for me. I'm sure it will for you too.
