I have a knob on my dashboard that is not in the manual.
Its the large circular knob on the right of the climate controls.

It has an upper and a lower half.

In the upper half there is "A/C" - Thats obvious. Its the bottom half, I dont understand.

On the left there is a circle with an "A" in it and on the right there is just a circle. On closer inspection the circles look like 3 arrows (recycle?) joined-up in a circle.

Im assuming they are something to do with allowing air in from the outside or recylcling the air inside the cabin. But the manual doesnt say.

My manual does not have it right either (also a 2008 Cee'd) - but I found out online somewhere.

The left side, the circle with the A, is automatic air recircualtion - based on pollution, temp etc. The one on the right is air recirculation on. I leave mine on the left all the time.
