Hy have just purchased a 2008 Kia sportage XS with 12000 miles on the clock. Car is immaculate inside and out with full service history. However, one thing that is bugging me is that the clutch pedal engages/disengages near to the bottom of the pedal travel - the clutch works fine with no judder etc its just that i'm used to the bite point being much higher. Is there anyway that the pedal can be adjusted on the ratchet? I know alot of cars can but cant seem to see if its possible on this. Trying to avoid a costly trip to dealership to have checked if its something I can adjust myself.

any help appreciated

heya, this sounds like mine when i brought it!

Take it to Mr clutch and get them to check it ( they will for free)

Mine turned out to be the Clutch Slave cylinder rubber what had split so it was loosing pressure and fluid too. I brought a 2nd hand cylinder and all is ok, Will just need another bleed this week.

It might not be this, but its worth a try )

yep it shouldnt be that low down, have had a few master cylinder problems also some concentric slaves leaking, a competent mech should be able to diagnose
