Hi all,

I am looking at purchasing a brand new Kia Rio Graphite 1.4 next week but one thing I don't like the look of, is the plastic handbrake. Can anyone advise if it's possible to change this to a leather one and if so, how easy it is?

As well as the handbrake, I'd also like to look in to changing the gearstick also.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Scrap the gearbox, test drove this yesterday and the interior is a LOT nicer than the pictures portrayed. Would still like a leather handbrake though if it is an easy enough job?

My only fear is that my car is brand new and I am not particularly sure where to start and the last thing I want to do is damage something or invalidate warranty!

Oh, does it actually just slip over it then? I thought you had to take the plastic surround off the handbrake and then fit this in it's place.

Hopefully it's as you said.

*EDIT* - Just has a response from the seller stating:
"to fit the item you need to remove the old one from the plastic frame and glue the new one on "
