Hi everyone,

First question for the forum; I got my '06 Cerato 1.5 CRDi last Friday and so far everything is running lovely on it, although getting used to the clutch and gearing is another matter.

Does the 1.5 CRDi on this car have a belt, or chain driven cam? and what is the recommended change interval of it? The car has just over 59k on the clock and I cannot find any mention in the service history of the cambelt being changed.

Many thanks in advance,
Nick

Hi all,

Not sure if this is of any useful relevance to anyone here, I've now finally had word back from our main KIA dealer in the area and the engine on the Cerato '06 1.5 CRDi is indeed a chain driven cam; no cambelts to worry about!

Hope someone finds this useful one day!
Nick
