You have probably tried this already, but with ignition on and headlights on, have you turned the light dimming switch up?

 

Hi Macspot, thanks for the responce. yes the interior light dimmer isn’t the issue. It’s hard to explain. When you rotate the driving lights control stick to main beam the console lights, quickly pulse on then fade as if they have received some power then they go out, no dim glow as if they were on a dimmer. To me it’s like a capacitor not keeping enough charge to maintain the lights but I could be wrong. Hopefully it’s all covered under the warranty and will get resolved FOC.

 

It does sound odd, but that should be covered by the warranty. Be aware some dealers may charge for diagnostics, but it should be reimbursed if the warranty claim is approved.

 

Update: so our local dealership repaired the fault under the warranty, we didn’t have to pay. Turns out a wire needed to be replaced\repaired, not sure exactly where though. All good now however I’ve read similar on other models so could be a known issue with certain common parts.
