Hi all,
I have a 2018 C'eed.. over the last few months I've noticed an occasional momentary squeak when revving hard and pulling away esp in a low gear.
Now its getting worse..
It doesn't do it in every gear- so not the clutch fork or clutch disk I think.
It sounds dry metallic.. I'm thinking the bearings on the turbo compressor are starting to let go?
Its NOT a full on squeal.. just a momentary thing in low gear, high revs, and hard accel..
Its due a service very soon.. I want to try and narrow this down before I go in..

if you can get access you could take the pipe of the turbo and feel for play and look for signs of fan damage, if not you will have to leave it too the garage to do the investigation.

Had my expert mechanic drive it just now. Its a part of the clutch plate starting to let go... so new clutch.

That's good news comparatively to a new turbo.
