The passenger side "non-powered" sliding door is jammed closed. I believe part of the cause was a child constantly playing with & kicking the locking mechanism with her foot.

Using central locking, I can hear the locking mechanism in the door making an effort, however the locking handle on the inside doesn't seem to be able to move all the way to unlock. I'd appreciate any advice about how to get the door open.

Hi
I have just replaced the motors for my sliding door release and the units for unlock to snib from my old sedona, but when I was replacing one the snib was misaligned with the mechanism which meant the snib wouldn't go all the way in one direction and the mechanism wouldn't go all the way in the other. if this is similar you may have to remove the door panel and see if the snib has jumped out of position or has broke. the trickiest bit is getting the retaining clip off for the inner door handle.
