I have a 2005 s.0 Ltr Carens which has developed a noisy gearbox. It has a very slightgyratingsound at 30 to 40 mph. It started at approx 17,000 miles.
It is determined by by road speed and not the gear I am in at the time.

I suspect it is a bearing, but as its not that bad at the moment, I am not prepared to pay out for a repair/new gearbox.

There is a product advertised on this website called Xado gearbox oil additive. (top of the home page).
Any one had any experience with it?
Was it any good?

Are you sure it's a gearbox whine?

Noisy bearing noise determined by road speed isn't the normal symptom associated with a gearbox bearing, more like driveshaft/drivetrain.
