some have a single piston, others two. Remove front wheel (car on axle stands) turn steering towards the removed wheel, have a look from the front edge of the disc you should be able to distinguish which it is.

hi they are 2 piston 1,s and padsare really easy to change,i did my own a few weeks ago,the hardest bit was releasing the caliper bolt to swing it upwards to get the pads out

Basically that's correct, but,to do the job properly you need to remove the caliper so to access areas for cleaning prior to reassembly, and lightly copper grease the the beds.
