Hi, I have a 2010 2WD sportage and I am having a problem in icy conditions. When it has been freezing overnight and there is some ice on the roads I get a problem with the brakes. When I brake, even from a low speed about 5 mph, the brakes make a grating sound, like metal on metal, and then the brakes lock up and I lose all control and skid. I have had the car in at the dealers who can find nothing wrong but they have not been able to test it in icy weather. There is no feeling of the ABS working, no feedback through the brake pedal, and after a few miles the problem seems to clear itself.
I have driven cars with ABS for years and I am an experienced driver. I have never had this problem on other cars.

Has anyone had a similar problem?
