Well my Sportage HEV is a lovely car. For 13 months no problem then the battery warning light came on (on the app). I took it in to the dealer after trying the 1500 revs motorway run as recommended and they cured it by overnight charging.(courtesy car provided). 7 months later happened again but didn’t clear, so in again overnight. That cure lasted 3 days. Just got it back after 4 days and Kia would not cover it under warranty - so my dealer has replaced the battery at their own cost. Their service (Petch of York) has been great. But then I see Kia have solved the issue by removing the facility from the app (was there this morning now it’s gone). Novel solution by burrowing their head in the sand. I feel sorry for my dealer who has spent 4 days waiting for them.

i dont blame kia for removing the battery facility from the app, this feature has caused numerous owners a lot of worry and hassle:cry: with the car showing no faults or flat battery scenario. just a light on the app indicating a possible fault. in my opinion drivers are given too much info about things they dont understand and dont need to know. ignorance is bliss:)

I have another query. I have a Samsung phone, running Android 15. The Kia app is version 1.0.13, last updated on the 4th September, and it still reports the 12v battery status. Has this changed or do other members have different versions that don't have the 12v status?

The mild hybid has a battery under the bonnet (mhev) the plug in hybrid has battery in the boot space (phev) and the self charge hybrid has a battery under the seat (hev) so when people post that their hybrid has a problem they need to be more specific about what version they have got because it makes a difference to the people that try and help them.
