Battery conditioning question

I have only rapid charged once but have not ticked the enable battery warming button.
Does it only warm the battery when approaching a charger that is programmed in?
If so does this work using waze through android auto? I was pleased to see that the directions appeared in the HUD.
Oddly the phone does not work as a remote key but my wife’s iPhone did until it was driven over a couple of days ago!

I don't think Waze will activate the battery warming. You would need to enter the route to the charger in the KIA Maps application.

I had a problem getting the digitial key to work on my Google Pixel 8. Before the firmware update it would just fail to connect. After the firmware update, it gave an error message about notifications in Google Wallet. I then enabled all the notifications in Google Wallet, and it worked.

To echo the above. Pre heating will only work when navigating via Kia Navigation.
But you can manually start the process.
