So when I turn on the engine, it always wipes the windscreen once, even though there's no moisture. I find this quite annoying, and it can't be good as there may be grit or debris on the screen since I last used it. I like the wipers on auto, but maybe I should leave them off, and only turn onto auto if it is actually raining. Or can I change a setting somewhere?

The other problem is, they willtry to wipe on a frosty morning, when they're stuck to the windscreen. I advise getting in the habit of leaving autowipe off when you park up at night overnight
