What’s the secret to getting a Sportage to unlock all the doors at the same time?
Every car Ive ever owned (with auto lock) has unlocked all the doors when the first person (passenger or driver) gets out, but not the Sportage.
So, for example, so done in the car has a jacket or bag on the back seat or boot, when you stop the car and they get out stop get out of the car the back doors and boot are still locked.
The fix for the driver can be Auto Unlock on vehicle off, but thats not good if you’re dropping a passenger off.
Auto unlock on Shift to P sounds like the solution, but it doesn’t work all the time, it sounds like it unlocks everything but half the time the back is still locked - unless I am doing something wrong.
I’m thinking of turning the auto lock off, but would prefer not to, can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong, there must be a reliable way to Auto Unlock the doors, so far all I’ve found that works for me is the unlock button. That sounds sensible I know, but having never had to touch that button in any previous car it feels wrong and old habits are hard to break.
