Hello

I have just had the ambiente thermostat changed to a brand new sensor from kia but its still showing 40oc on the dash. But I am thinking would this also affect my start/stop on the car as well ??

can anyone help with this

Hi Soxlad, welcome to the forum,

I suspect the Start-Stop system will probably use the intake air and engine block temperature sensors, rather than the one used to display on the dash.

Did you just get this part from KIA, or did also they fit? If they did it, take it back. If you did it yourself, you could perhaps try disconnecting the battery for a while, just to reset the system.

EDIT: Just been trawling the manual, and this is what it says states as using the ambient temperature sensor:

Might be worth checking it in accordance with: Kia Cee'd - Ambient Temperature Sensor Repair procedures - Troubleshooting
