disconnect battery,remove intercooler, belt, top engine mount and raise engine slightly to allow upper alternator bolt to come out(quite awkward if you have a/c)disconnect multplug and oil pipe from rear of alternator(don't loose the copper washers) take out the bottom bolt and remove alternator, it does come up the way but you need to rotate it to get it out.
when reffiting it is best to remove the top mount from the bracket and GENTLY tap the sleeve back the way to allow clearance for the new alternator but BE VERY CAREFUL IT IS ONLY A CAST ALLOY BRACKET AND BREAKS VERY EASILY
in all it should only take about an hour to do
