I changed a wheel bearing yesterday and forgot to re-connect the ABS sensor.
When I drove off the ABS warning light came on. I have been told that the car will fail its MOT with this light on so I need to get it sorted.
I tried disconnecting the battery and shorting the terminals; that didnt work.
I have read on the internet that the ABS is accessed via a 20 pin OBD socket under the bonnet and you can buy an adapter off ebay for about ÂŁ4 to connect to it.
Question is; what software/hardware would I need to reset the light?
I have a lead i bought for a ford focus which connects OBD via a usb to my laptop. I was able to reset the ABS warning light on the focus with that.
Can you get generic Jap/Hyundai software which will work with the Kia?
Does anyone have a device they could lend me or do it for me? I live in Staines.
