I have a Sportage 2007 XS diesel which has delevoped a small problem, has anyone any idea what the problem is.

Driving on the road in 2 wheel drive at approx. 18 mph the car will judder slightly (like when you switch off the 4 wheel drive lock switch when coming out of 4 wheel drive). Also when the car is slowing down at about 3 mph the same judder. The judder lasts for half a second even to a rolling stop in neutral. Could it be a problem with the Auto 4 x 4 engaging or the ABS braking, no waring lights showing on the dash. Note if i start off with the 4 wheel drive lock button pressed (lock indicator light on) their is no judder at 18 mph or 3 mph.

You shouldn't use the 4wd lock button unless the surface your on in VERY VERY slippery, otherwise you will damage the transmission.
The system can take care of itself 99% of the time.
