Hi Guys

New to the forum and visiting on behalf of a customer so help muchappreciated.

My customer has purchased a catalytic converter for his vehicle but there is a problem. The part I sell cross references OE part number 289504A160 and is listed for February 2003 on vehicles.

Unfortunately an in depth check via a suppliers systems shows that the OE part on my customers car has number 289404A470, for which there is apparently no aftermarket part supply.

Is anyone able to tell me the difference between these two parts and if they are interchangeable ? I can send a link to a desc/pic ofthe part I sell if required.

Trying to save my customer having to pay dealer prices for the part and preserve my order.

57 would be a facelift vehicle, different exhaust due to different turbo, pattern books don't show a facelift model for some reason.

Thanks for the reply murphwiz, although the last thing I wanted to know :-(

If the turbo is different it means that the flange fitting and pipework at that end will be different so no chance of it fitting.

Strange as the spec shows 138BHP across the date range - must be incorrect me thinks.

Cheers
