Kia have a big plant in Slovakia. Of which the Sportage was one of the cars produced. Which borders Ukraine & is less than 6 hours from the border.

Depends, my dealer chooses to do the PDI as they can do it cheaper than the ports PDI/ repair facility who I believe charge something like £120 per vehicle.Isn't the PDI done by the dealer .

That's different to the VW and Mazda's I have had. Or any other new car from memory.Kia's are done at facility where they arrive in UK.
Dealer may just wash & wipe them.
