I have a 66 plate Sportage that was first registered in January 17. The dealer said that it had android auto when I bought it a week ago but now they tell me it doesn't. Will an update to the SD card give it that functionality?

Sorry, the 2016 Sportage will have the previous head unit and no voice activation feature, so can't be retrospectively made compatible with Android Auto.

Okay, thanks could you kindly let me know when those maps were released? Only my dealer attempted to do me an update in November last year and I ended up with the same version as I started with EUR.08 etc. And they still insist that this is the latest version.

These were released back in March when we started this thread. We'd recommend waiting for our 2018 update due in the next few weeks but in the meantime, please get in touch if you'd like us to investigate the update failure. You just need 20 points to PM us.

Sorry, 2016 Sportage cannot be retrospectively made compatible with CarPlay. This app was only added to Sportage ('2' spec and above) last year with the introduction of our new head unit.

Hi all just been into beechwood Kia Eastbourne today and been told today it's £65 for remapping, and the new maps will be in September not now? bloody fuming as only had our car since October last year.

Hi Matt.

If this is a KX-3 or KX-4, then yes it will become compatible with both apps whenever you next have a map update installed. Only these 2 specs can receive the apps.

We are still on schedule for release this month and please refer to our sticky at the top of the forum for the process should a dealer quote a price different to us once we've created a new update thread.

I'd await the official announcement before throwing rocks! Kia Customer Services were good at correcting dealers who overcharged last time around.
