Just wondering if I'm alone here. Had car 6 weeks and love it other than the gearbox. How terrible is it?? No matter what I do I just can't get a smooth gear change. It's like you haven't pushed the clutch down far enough and you get a slight grind. Not all the time, but more often than not. The cars only done 40,000 miles so I'm guessing the clutch should be okay. I've just came to the conclusion it's a shit gearbox.

Any advice??? Or solutions. Cheers

Clutch can easily be a total mess in under 40k. All depends how it's been driven/abused.

Mine isnt brilliant either, 38k on it (car is new to me, 1k only done by me) There is a lot of slop and clunking in the gear lever on mine so I'm trying a new selector mechanism in next week or so, if no radical improvement then I'll change the clutch in the spring when it's warmer.

Others I've driven previously have been pretty good.

Yeah, I did wonder as the previous owner was a young girl, so I'm wondering if she just passed her test then bought this which would explain s potential knackered clutch

I've had my GT a few months now, similar age & mileage (65 plate, 46k) and the gearbox on mine is perfect, never any crunching or issues changing gear
