Hi, I just wanted advice on what this could be or if anyone else has had the same issue. My car didn't start, just made the relay click and sometimes makes relay click + solenoid click but no crank. After being left for a while it turns over sluggishly and starts and other times it fires up perfectly.

Have you checked the battery voltage? Have you checked for bad earths? What happens to the dashboard lights when you try to start it? What have you checked?

It's a 1 year old battery. Don't think that's a problem as it seems to start better the more I start it. No lights on dash, never has been

If it clicks that is low voltage going to starter motor. If the volts across battery are ok, suggest you do as above. Remove battery negative lead from body and give a good clean up and also lead from body to starter motor. You will often find corrosion between then causing low voltage to starter motor. When replaced give them a covering of grease to keep damp out.

check under the steering wheel had this same issue on my 2006 View attachment 16121
