I have the standard factory fitted double din unit at present however when we insert a cd it simply comes up with mech error and spits it back out. Is there a fix for this or is it simply Bust (edited, see below) ? I do have an almost brand new single din unit which I will fit with a conversion plate if need be but would rather try and fix the original double din unit first. Cheers

Tried this?
As it seems to be a common issue on cars.

Driving home one day I just figured my problem started when I tried to load a cd. So I pressed the eject button, player made a noise like it was ejecting a cd. Then I pressed load and it said insert disc. Problem solved.
