Bit confused here. You say you want to

yet you seem to be wanting to fit a new radio.

This will not improve the performance, it might sound better if that's all you want.
Hello,

Thanks for the comment, the fitting the radio is more of the modernisation as this will give me a GPS ect in the car.
Im not sure where to start regarding the performance of the engine, handling ect

regards
Megan

Buying from China is a bit of a risk. If after paying to have it fitted it does not work as expected your chances of getting any monies refunded are pretty much zero.

Performance parts for Ceeds are pretty much non existent. For starters getting any extra power out of a 13 year old 1.4 normally aspirated engine is not going to be cheap. Its going to need cams, head work, exhaust, and then a re-map if the existing ECU is actually re-mapable. Then you will need to improve the suspension and brakes to cope with the extra performance and no doubt you will be wanting bigger wheels for more bling. Its going to cost many £1000's for little gain. After you have done all this it won't be worth a penny more than standard yet will be difficult to sell on.

And don't forget that any modified car is going to cost more to insure, if you don't inform your insurers you could be left with no cover after an accident.

You would be far better off selling the Ceed and buying a different car (possibly a Ceed) with the performance and kit you want. In the long run it will probably be cheaper.

Hi & Welcome.

TBH, on the radio. Unless you are good at pulling plastics, dash fittings apart & wiring. I would find a car audio specialist to do it for you.

I'd just concentrate on the cosmetic side of the car and then look into music system upgrades.

If you had a diesel, you might get decent easy improvements with chip tuning especially if it was one of the EcoDynamics models that was deliberately tuned to a lower power output.

Most of the engine mods that youngsters do, on a budget tend to result in making more noise, using more fuel and reducing reliability.

I've been there, done that and bought the t-shirt and know better these days.

Well, I think I do....... :ROFLMAO: (y)
