Hi Guys,
Does anyone know the correct oil to use in the 2.0 diesel engine, I see under the bonnet there is a sticker saying Kia recommends Shell oils, But which one? I dont want to get the wrong one as I have been told it can wreck the dpf.

The correct oil is

Shell Helix Ultra Extra 5W-30 engine oil.

However, each dealer buys their oil in bulk and they all use different brands although hopefully to the correct specification for each model. I would suggest you talk to your dealers' Service Manager and find out exactly what they use.

You are looking for Specification Acea C3 (I think, haven't got handbook to hand to check) but I would think that it is the Shell Helix that went in at build and it would be good to top up with same if possible. This spec will be suitable for DPF.

I don't like to mix brands but I know that it is not Helix that is used at my dealers subsidiary maintenance branch.
