I replaced a front wheel bearing, well got the garage to do it as I don't have a press, i supplied the bearing cheaper and quicker than garage getting the part. However a few months later it went again, I purchased another bearing  but this time i dropped the bearing into  a container of new engine oil so it was covered completely, for a few days, then wrapped it back into it wrapping and box and got the garage to fit it and 4 years later still going strong.
