To many people being suckered into believing these ambulance chasers... I'm 26 but in my day...an accident was an accident... And your lucky enough to walk away, count your blessings. If the guilty are actually to cause... Why are the police or courts sending them for retests or handing out points?

P.s. married 26 Lincolnshire, 8yrs no claims, fully comp protected no claims, replacement new car in first year, breakdown cover, legal cover, ONLY £50 compulsory access for total loss with no voluntary. Brand new Kia pro-ceed 4. Valued at 16k.......£367 per yr.....renewal came through the post today. With tesco's. (A Flux £690)
P.p.s and tesco's still missed off I had use of numerous other vehicles so it may even come down more...but I doubt it.

But people, what is your voluntary excess? Generally the cheaper the policy the higher the excess.

P.S I'm not an A Flux employee! Im an insurance investigator but do not get discounts :-(

I went from having an mazda RX8 (insurance about £900 with AFlux) to a Mazda 6 2ltr (about £638, swift) to the Carens 09 (swift, erm I think about £700 ish, with business cover, protected No claims, residents parking bay classed as off road, partner on insurance (put a woman on and it'll come down even if she has had a claim in the last 5 years, it saved me £100 !!!))

Age 40, 2 * sp30 endorsements.

There are a few tips and tricks to get your insurance down ... and these mainly revolve around the fact that if you have a fully comp policy with more than one driver it's less of a fraud indicator.

HOWEVER: Do not ever front a policy. Meaning your 20yr old son has his own car, or you buy a  car for him in your name and insure it but put your son on as a NAMED driver, not the MAIN driver. I've seen it all too often the son then wraps up the car, often killing or seriously injuring others. You will be found out ...... the insurance company will drop you like a hot brick and the best part is ....if anyone claims for personal injury ......... you could lose everything, house included.

I'm not preaching, just some advice.

Totally agree. I never got help from my parents when I was younger. If kids want to drive, they have to earn it. Getting them cheap insurance while putting your own no claims at risk it plain idiotic. Some of my friends are paying £1400+ for banged up old pug 106's and the likes. All down to not having there own insurance and not gaining any no claims discount. I also think people in the first 5 yrs of driving that are caught drink driving should be banned for 5yr minimum term....but that's going off topic so.....
