I will be amazed if KIA don't monitor this forum. They won't want it to drag on with potential customers assessing their customer service. If they do watch the site, you have identified the dealer, so KIA will know which car you are talking about, and who the registered owner is.

Our new(ish) Cee'd does the same thing. However I believe that the steering wheel isn't actually on straight. They corrected the tracking on the car, but it's clear that if you pull the wheel to the right and let go it returns to slightly left of centre and I think this is what's pulling the car to the left. Going to contact the dealer again tomorrow to get them to check it.

I had the same problem, ex rental, dealer did the full monty alignment but the idiots forgot to look at the tyres. The sizes were the same but one had a lot more wear than the other on the front. Replaced both and the problem went away!

My Cee'd doesnt pull to the left. But before my Cee'd I had a Citroen C4 Hdi, for just over 5 years and that pulled to the left all the time. I got into the habit of holding the steering wheel on the motorway so that it kept the car straight. It seemed to be very camber sensitive. I had the alignment checked at Micheldever tyres ( in Hampshire) and it was all within spec. I was told (by Micheldever) its not uncommon for this to occur on cars, even significantly more expensive cars, such as BMW's Jags and Astons. He said they *may* be able to rectify it by loosening the suspension and re-aligning it. But I thought that it might end up worse than before. I'll live with it.
In the end, I didnt notice it. Hope you get your sorted. BTW, my car I was told was "ex-kia" but turned out to be ex-europecar. Prospective buyers, if you dont want ex-rentals ask the question and/or ask to see the service history on the computer, where it will clearly show the previous owner (I know 'cos I looked over their shoulder). |
