Can anyone tell me how to get the gearstick knob off on a Rio, does it unscrew or is it stuck on? I want to fit a different type.. Thakyou in advance.

to confirm, it unscrews to the left, its not meant to come off so you need quite a bit of force. What kind of gearbnob are you getting? I've been wanting a round shape, and my fake leather is peeling off now.

Thanks for your confirmation on the gear knob. They have a nice selection in our local Halfords and another motor store near by, and I'm still deciding. I wanted to take the old one with me to make sure that the diameter is correct for the lift lock slide on the reverse movement. They are quite expensive and I wanted to make sure. If you heat your knob up then it will expand on the shaft and you should be able to screw it off easier.
