Newbie, first time post.
My Kia Sedona has developed an electrical fault with master switch on drivers side door.
When operating Windows they have stopped, try to use switches and using drivers window switch, strange noise occurs and doors centrally lock! A possible short? Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Bought a second hand unit from e bay, same problem, so thinking electrical, not necessarily the PCB in the switch unit?
TIA

One of the most common cause of locking and windows problems is broken wires. Check them where they go through the rubber gaiter from door pillar to door.

Hi, earlier this year, I replaced the motor assembly for the drivers power window,  Its been working fine until recently. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. When it does work when the button to close it, is pressed it seems to want to carry on going. Don't know want the fault is or what part to get from ebay (as its discontinued).

Any ideas?

Thanks

The drivers side when pressed to open or shut should continue after you have taken your finger off the switch unless you stop it. Unlike the other doors which only work whilst finger on switch. Directly you take off them the window should stop. If the window is only working intermittently most likely the switch not making contact.

Hi drivers side may be semi automatic so you only press once to fully ope or fully close,
there shoult be 2 stage button press lightly to open a little and let go, should stop, press and hold, or press to second position slight feel in switch to auto fully open or auto fully close.
Driver window switches get a lot of use so it may be just the button switch is worn.
