In a nieve moment I  thought a 7 year warranty would cover things like a gear box that would not change gear, but apparently not, I must read the small print one day, so after 75k miles, I now have the following ...
Parts, 188.
labour 319
VAT @ 20%

I would do the sums but it hurts, still I did get to keep these.

I'm genuinely baffled and surprised anyone would expect a clutch (at that mileage) to be covered under warranty.

No manufacturer covers the clutch you've got an argument at 30k miles but not at that my focus needed the clutch done at 66k

My clutch (Diesel Rio 2013 with 50K miles) recently would not change gear (sometimes it would, sometimes you had to wrestle it or turn the engine off and on).

Took it to my local Kia (Brindley, Tipton) and they said worst case scenario it would be about £578. But they need to look at it first.

Got a call 2 days later saying that the clutch wasn't seating correctly causing the problems, they changed it under warranty!

To say I celebrated was an understatement lol. They also did a ball joint under warranty too which I had no idea was covered either.

They told me they have done several clutches under warranty, only a few have been charged for.

I'm not taking my Rio anywhere else!!

Interesting regarding Brindley Kia Tipton. They didn't want to touch my rio at 1 month old brand new saying that these gearboxes clutches don't fail and there were no known faults with them.
