Have you removed all the fluff and pocket lint from the chatging port? Take a paper clip or the SIM card release pin and insert it into the charging port and gently scrape out the debris (check YouTube and Apple forums for confirmation). You’ll be amazed how much lint comes out. It stops the cable connecting properly and can also affect charging.

Prolly not a good idea to use a paperclip - use something plastic or wooden.

I have had my Niro PHEV for a few days and have the same issue.

It’s todo with the Bluetooth disconnect, as CarPlay doesn’t need Bluetooth.

I find if you disable Bluetooth on the iPhone prior to connecting it works normally.

Or connect the iPhone before switching on ignition.

This is a software problem in the car not the iPhone or cable.

Had the latest software installed today and it has resolved the car play issue.

Didn’t have to pay the £25 as it was classed as a fault, so if anyone else has this problem software is now available to resolve.
