Bought C'eed estate second hand last august, on odd occassion the alarm would just go off with no warning for no obvious reason. However it is happening everyday now, sometimes minutes after i use the fob to lock the car, sometime many hours later in the small wee hours of the night.

At this point i've stopped locking the car, i dont care anymore I just want problem fixed.
How can i disable the alarm?

2009 estate.

Welcome to the Forum Steve,

The Alarm is built into the Body Control Module.
The Manual shoes a Burglar Alarm Horn Relay and a Burglar Alarm Relay.
Not sure where they are.

You haven't got anything left plugged in? Charger? Dash Cam?
Does it still go off if you lock manually with a Key?

A visit to Kia might not be too bad to find out what is triggering it.
It is likely that the reason for the trigger will be stored within the ECU or BCM.

There are some Manuals here http://www.kia-bg.com/docs/ceed/
Including the BCM and Electrical

Thankyou for the advise. I never leave anything in the charging ports so I know it's not related.

I've started locking the doors manually & so far the alarm hasn't been armed or gone off. A simple but effective soloution.

Many thanks
