This usually a result of the fuel tank delamination the most common fault with these motors.Check the strainer inside the cassette in the fuel tank.

Should add if clogged take pictures for evidence to show Kia dealer to claim a new FOC fuel tank.Once strainer is clear and fault codes reset troubles should be solved.

Thank you very much Birdman. Could that be the reason for the engine dropping in power? Every time I clear the code it can run fine for as little as a mile to the rest of the journey. If this isn't the problem though and I do need to change the sensor I'm not sure what one of the 2 are what....

This is the reason 90% of the time.First thing that is looked for.Your sensors are reading low due to lack of fuel flow from tank.

Hi Birdman
Thought my Sorento's problem was sorted but happiness was shortlived. I drove a short distance on my way to the city on Saturday, engine cut out and engine check light came on again. Had to pump and bleed the fuel system again to get it going again. Did this two times on my way back home. Can dirt on the fuel rail pressure sensor cause this? Is it possible for the strainer in the diesel tank to leak air into the system?

Ifyouve checked for tabk delamination then id wager the fuel pump is going , have it checked for pressure

Bosch service centre phoned and admitted 2 of the injectors they refurbished are faulty. Also found that mechanical pressure valve on front of fuel rail, it was replaced and reportedly the car is not cutting out anymore. All this after the high pressure pump was also refurbished. Do you think this pressure valve can malfunction or is this a way to refund themselves for their mistake?
